The American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón announced today that IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), one of the world’s largest hotel companies, has been named the Official Hotels and Resorts Partner of the Series and the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), the Series’ sanctioning body.
IHG is featured on alms.com, the Series’ website, which also provides a “Book a Hotel” button on its race schedule pages that takes fans directly to an IHG reservations site where bookings may be made across IHG’s extensive hotel properties landscape.
“We have had a wonderful, supportive relationship with IHG through its Crowne Plaza brand’s support for the Series’ BMW Team RLL GT program over the last few years,” said Edward Triolo, VP of Integrated Marketing Communications for the Series. “We’re very pleased that we are now expanding our direct relationship with IHG. Our fans, representing the highest demographic base in U.S. motorsports, travel extensively and frequently for business and pleasure, making them ideal customers for IHG properties.”
As ALMS’ official hotels and resorts partner, IHG enjoys prominent advertising placements on alms.com, business-to-business access advantages and benefits from the Series’ “Money-Can’t-Buy-It” experiential marketing program available to key IHG event guests and stakeholders. Additionally, IHG’s worldwide presence links well with ALMS race distribution around the globe via ESPN International which distributes ALMS broadcasting content to European, Central and Latin America, Asia and Asia-Pacific markets.
IHG is also an official “Watch and Win” partner of the Series, offering IHG Priority Club Rewards Points to ALMS contest winners. The Priority Club Rewards Points provides winners with as many as five free room nights, depending upon which of IHG’s 4,500 worldwide locations is selected.
“Our partnership with the ALMS is a natural progression to our long-standing involvement in motorsports in the United States and across the world,” said IHG Marketing Manager, Business Travel, Alan Magee. “The association provides us an extended platform to talk to the motorsport community about our portfolio of hotel brands and rewards programs, and to engage them in how choosing IHG hotels will support them in their travel. We are very excited about our new journey with the American Le Mans Series, and we are looking forward to a successful partnership working alongside the Series, its race teams and fans.”
