With no doubts, this will be one of the most interesting new entries in the International GT Open this year : Eurotech Engineering, a new Italian squad, will campaign the entire season with a Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 for formulae stars Davide Valsecchi and Giovanni Venturini.

The new outfit, based in Pianiga near Venice, is directed by Alan Gomboso and counts on the technical cooperation of well-known motorsports professionals. The team, which will also be present in the AutoGP, could also confirm soon a second car for the GT Open.

Valsecchi and Venturini, of course, form a very strong pair, having both shined in single-seaters in recent years. Davide Valsecchi (27) is the 2012 GP2 Champion and was the tester driver of Lotus in F.1 last year. Giovanni Venturini (22) has raced in GP3 (1 win), F.Renault 3.5 and AutoGP (2 wins) in the last three seasons.

Alan Gomboso commented: “It is very exciting to start a new project like this, defending the colors of a great brand like Lamborghini, aligning two young top guns like Davide and Giovanni, and choosing for our debut  such a competitive series like the GT Open. We really look forward to the start of the season!”.
