Marco Seefried (GER), AMG-Team HTP Motorsport #29: “It has been a really nerve-wrecking race so far. For us and for Mercedes-AMG, it is looking very well. We will most likely have some more rain coming up; I hope that we make the right decision at the right time concerning the tyre choice. Then, we might be lucky and could be on top at the end. In any case, one of the four Mercedes-AMG GT3 will take victory, I am pretty sure about that now already.”
Maro Engel (GER), AMG-Team BLACK FALCON #4 and #9: “This is going to be really close. Our cars are so closely together. We are in it with both the #4 and the #9 car and we are in contention for victory. The closing stages will be insanely hot.”
Maximilian Götz (GER), HARIBO Racing Team-AMG #88: “My stint was great, I had great fun. I did a double stint once again. Then, I only heard from my engineer that I had to take a stop-and-go penalty in the final corner. The final hours have started. I am curious about the weather. Still, everything can happen.”
Bernd Schneider (GER), AMG-Team BLACK FALCON #4: “So far, we are very happy. The Mercedes-AMG GT3 is running greatly. It will probably still be a little bit tricky with the weather. Let’s wait and see if it really stays dry out there until the end. As far as the car is concerned, everything is all right. The pace is good and we hope that we can make it through just as trouble-free as we have done so far.”
Sebastian Asch (GER), MANN-FILTER Team ZAKSPEED #75: “Currently, we are running in eighth place. That is okay. In the rain as the night set in, we weren’t quite able to keep up with the pace of the front-runners. In the dry, it works better. Both during the night and also this morning, I completed a double stint. The car is running trouble-free and we hope that it will stay like that till the end.”
