BMW Sports Trophy Team Marc VDS head into the Baku World Challenge with a timely partnership extended to a special new livery for the event. The Belgian squad will race with a distinctive new ICE Watch scheme on the streets of Azerbaijan.
Having supported the team through various partnerships in recent years, including strong branding on the BMW Z4 GT3 cars entered in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, this new livery is an extension of ICE Watch’s involvement in motorsport. The art on the Marc VDS machine reflects the colours of the brand that have also been seen in the DTM with BMW Motorsport’s Marco Wittman in 2013.
As well as producing the special Marc VDS Carbon watch, available at marcvds.com, the vibrant timepiece company also now produce a BMW Motorsport chronograph.
The BMW Z4 GT3 will also be on display at the Valencia MotoGP, where the Marc VDS Moto2 Racing Team will entertain the massive Spanish crowds, before travelling to Baku next week.
Marc van der Straten
“Now is the perfect time for us to be reinforcing our relationships with key sponsors, with such a successful season and strong prospects for the future. With that in mind, it’s fantastic to welcome further support from another Belgian success story in ICE-Watch. The ICE Watch livery looks fantastic and I’m looking forward to watching it take on the Baku World Challenge. I’m hoping we can add more success to this wonderful season so far.”
Jean-Pierre Lutgen, CEO ICE Watch
“We have been a partner of the Marc VDS Racing Team since 2010 and are very happy with this title sponsor deal. This season ICE Watch has been a strong partner to BMW Motorsport in DTM, and as we are now selling the BMW Motorsport watches it makes sense to strengthen our activities in motor racing. It would be great to see BMW Sports Trophy Team Marc VDS represent Belgium strongly at the Baku World Challenge, and carry our brand to the front!”
