This race weekend was concluded with the last competition in the Ferrari Challenge Europe in Silverstone and the ELMS race on the French track of Paul Ricard, both with great enthusiasm and great success for Kessel Racing.

In Silverstone this season’s fifth round in the single-marque’s Championship of the Prancing Horse was held. Here at the English track Max Bianchi had an extraordinary weekend, winning both races in the Shell cup. Today he drove an excellent pursuit race, catching up from row five, where he had to start. The Italian driver crossed the line ahead of Fons Scheltema, who came home in second place (a brilliant first amongst the Gentlemen) and the Belgian driver Duyver. Excellent performance also from Lovat, who finished the race in seventh position, and Goerke in tenth. Meanwhile Florian Merckx won a place on the podium in the Pirelli Trophy with a third place in the AM class, while Vadim Gitlin, after an excellent performance, finished in fifth position in the same class. The next race in the Ferrari Challenge Europe will be held in Istanbul at the end of October, followed by the Finali Mondiali in Abu Dhabi, on the calendar in early December.

Meanwhile at the race track of Paul Ricard this season’s fourth round of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) was held. Broniszewski/Piccini gained fifth place amongst the cars starting in the GTE class, while the race was won by the Ferrari 458 GT driven by Cameron/Griffin/Rugolo. Kemenater/Cressoni crossed the line in ninth position in their class. The next race in the ELMS Championship will be held mid-October in Portugal, in Estoril. Kessel Racing will already be back on the track next weekend for the last race in the Blancpain Endurance Series, held on the German Nürburgring.
