After the first pics of the BMW M6 GT3, the line-up : 2 drivers are already confirmed for Blancpain Endurance GT Series : Olivier Grotz (Lux) & Karim Ojjeh (Saudi)
Olivier Grotz : «The winter break has been quite long now, which means that I am really excited to see the first pictures of this brand new BMW. I think the car is even better looking than it’s predecessor, I am looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. I hope that we’ll be as competitive with the new car as we were with the old one. The first race and tests of the car seemed quite promising. I can’t wait to meet up with the team on a track to do the first laps on board of the 2016 BMW M6 GT3 of Boutsen-Ginion Racing ».
Karim Ojjeh : “I am sure that I can speak for the team and my co-drivers, when I say that we are all impatient to getting our hands on the new monster ! Unfortunately, our old Bat Mobile has to be left behind for this new contender, to which we still have to find a new nick name. Considering its first race at Daytona last month, it seems that the car is well founded and it will be up to the drivers to take the maximum out of the car. It will take us time to adjust with the big body and reliability but we have to be competitive from the start.”
Olivier Lainé (Team Manager): “We are pleased to continue in Blancpain Endurance GT Series with Olivier and Karim, (3 podiums last season, including a class win in Blancpain) with the same brand, BMW, but a brand new car ! The 3rd driver will be announced in the coming days. Let’s meet at Paul Ricard for the first official Blancpain Endurance Test Days, 9 + 10 March 2016 ! »
