The 2015 season is yet not finished for Joel Camathias: the Swiss driver will compete this weekend in the 6 Hours of Vallelunga, the prestige round of Gruppo Peroni that traditionally closes the Italian racing season. Open to cars of various types, from LMPs to GTs and touring cars, the Roman rendez-vous is valid for the Endurance champions Cup.

As usual this year, Joel Camathias will be at the wheel of the Porsche 911R of Autorlando Sport, shared this time with Giuseppe Ghezzi and Dario Cerati. The objective is to obtain a top result among GTs, building up on the proven reliability of the Porsche.

Joel Camathias:

“Autorlando has called me to take part to this race and I am very happy, because it is a competition that is gaining prestige year after year. Morevover, it is an excellent opportunity to race again a 6-hour race, therefore on a true endurance format, something that I did not do since my WEC time, some years ago. Vallelunga, where we have raced twice this year with the Italian GT series, hasn’t been the friendliest track for our Porsche, but clearly, on such a long race, the parameters will differ completely, without forgetting the role that autumn temperatures and weather can play. I hope we can be competitive and contribute to the success of the team and my team mate Ghezzi, who are in contention for the category title.”
