The polish sportscar outfit Inter Europol-Competition had a successful outing at the 6th round of the VdeV Endurance GT/Tourisme/LMP3-Weekend at Magny Cours. The driver-duo Jakub Smiechowski (PL) and Martin Hippe (D) finished the 4hour-race on sunday as winners of the LMP3-class and 2nd overall on the same lap than the race winning Ginetta G57 of LNT-Simpson Motorsport. A good strategy payed off in improving a modest qualifying result towards the 5th win in a row in the LMP3-class of the series.

Jakub Smiechowski: “The race went well but it was not easy for us. We had a good strategy with tires and fuel and some luck during the safety-car-periods  and made maximum use of that. We had lots of cars on and off the track and lots of action. It was important for us to do a faultless race to get the maximum result we archieved today.”

Martin Hippe added: “The Ginetta was no real competitor for us, as it starts in the PFV-category and has 100HP more and we were just focussed in winning our class. At the end that was a bit in doubt as I had a collision with a Ferrari resulting luckily just in minor damage. With the car behind us, the N-Race-Ligier, it became tight, but we finished 12s before them. Now the title is within reach at the last race in Estoril.”
