After an impressive debut season, Infinity Race Engineering are set to return to the 2016/2017 Asian Le Man series, this time in the highly competitive LMP3 class and supported by their new technical partner, ADESS AG.
With the ambition of competing in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, Infinity Race Engineering has chosen to step-up to the LMP3 category as an initiation into the prototype racing. It also provides a great platform to allow young and developing drivers to hone their skills before graduating to LMP2 and higher. Driver lineup for the team has yet to be determined.
“We’re extremely excited to be back in the Asian Le Mans Series with an ADESS. We saw the potential of what the ACO junior prototype formula had to offer to our more experienced gentlemen drivers as well as the development opportunities it presented to bring along young drivers in our journey to Le Mans. Stéphane Chosse and myself have been in contact for a few years now and have toyed with the idea of a partnership for a while, so the timing could not have been better! We’re definitely looking forward to putting the car through its paces using the Sprint Cup in Sepang as a training ground in preparation for onslaught of the Asian Le Mans Series.” C.Q Loh, Managing Director, Infinity Race Engineering.
The Australian-Malaysian squad which finished third in the GT class campaigning a Ferrari 458 GT3 in the previous season is very proud to have signed a partnership deal with German chassis manufacturer, ADESS AG. This partnership will see Infinity Race Engineering as an outpost for ADESS AG in the Asian Pacific region, providing both part and technical support.
“We are delighted to see another ADESS-03 competing in Asia under the banner of Infinity Race Engineering” Stéphane Chosse, CEO, ADESS AG.
Building on ADESS AG’s wealth of technical knowledge including Le Mans prototype and Formula 1 experience, Infinity Race Engineering is certainly looking forward to putting the Nissan powered ADESS-03 through its paces in the opening round of the Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup in Sepang later next month.
