Team I.S.R. racing will get on track this coming weekend for the Total 24 Hours of Spa, the most important race of the season valid for the fourth and penultimate act of the Blancpain Endurance Series.

Marco Bonanomi (ITA), Filip Salaquarda (CZ) and Frederic Vervisch (BEL) will defend the colors of the Czech team alternating behind the wheel of the number 75 Audi R8 LMS ultra on the challenging Belgian track, which is considered as the university of world motor racing. This round will be an emotional moment for I.S.R. racing, that made its debut in the most challenging series for GT3 cars in the world on this very track one year ago. The team brought to Spa a new hospitality, a modern and futuristic structure that has already aroused the curiosity of staff of the paddock, to celebrate this first anniversary.

The long marathon of the 24 Hours will be particularly challenging also due to the uncertain weather that characterizes Ardennes. Weather forecasts schedule unstable weather for Saturday. This track will award double points which will be crucial for the fight in the Blancpain GT Series Team, where I.S.R. is currently seventh at 43 points, that is 3 short of P5.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):
“Racing in Spa Francorchamps is a strong emotion for a team and this is going to mark the first anniversary since we started this sporting challenge. We are very motivated and proud of lining up a strong squad with Bonanomi, Salaquarda and Vervisch. The level of the competition is going to be extremely high and it is going to be difficult to fight for top positions. In rounds like this, competitiveness and performance are not enough, constancy, determination and a touch of good luck are going to be necessary. We aim to be in the game”.
