In the next few weeks, team Krypton Motorsport will become a major player at an international event of GT Sports Club, the 2015 project of SRO, promoter of prestigious Blancpain Endurance and Sprint Series championships, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Following the agreements made at the 24 hours of Spa Francorchamps last July and finalized during the tests on Wednesday 18th March at Misano World Circuit, a decision was made to take part in the first of four races, held at the Barcelona track on 17th, 18th and 19th April.

It is set to be a particularly exciting weekend, not just because it will mark Team Krypton debut in a Blancpain branded international competition but also as the race will be held in conjunction with the revival event “Espiritu de Montjuic”, that will gather a record number of historic Formula 1, Group C, Sportscars, and more, at the Catalan facility.

The team, lead by Stefano Pezzucchi, both driver and Team Principal, looks at the international series with great interest as they see it as an opportunity to exploit the full potential of the Porsche 911 GT3 R (during the winter a preparatory test was done) and draw new motivation. But they are also looking forward to racing on the circuits of this championship for GT3 cars and “bronze” class drivers and not only compete with peers, but also take advantage of a range of VIP services, including hotel accommodation, airport transfer service and first class catering and hospitality facilities.

Stefano Pezzucchi – Team Principal: “Of course both my team and I are very happy to take part in the opening race of the new GT Sports Club championship held in Barcelona on 17th -18th -19th April. This race will mark our debut in an SRO competition but I hope we will be able to take part in other races of the GT Sports Club championship and why not? Maybe even some races of the Endurance series. This is why we are currently talking to a few interested drivers and we aim to show our potential as a team/car package in our first race in Barcelona”.
