The Awards Ceremony of the International GT Open and the Euroformula Open put an end to an exciting 2015 season. This year, the ceremony took place few hours after the last races, on Sunday evening, in the magnificent Casa Fuster, one of the jewels of Barcelona’s modernist architecture.

Over 120 guests, mainly drivers and teams’ personnel, joined the party, in a glamourous and friendly atmosphere. Manuel Vidal, Vice President of the RFEA (the Spanish motorsports federation) and Jesús Pareja, CEO of GT Sport, hosted the prize-giving session. In his address, Pareja praised all teams and drivers for their continued support to GT Sport series, and thanked all partners, namely Michelin, Panta and the series sharing our meetings, the SEAT León Eurocup and the Radical European Masters, whose top representatives were among attendants. He also gave some hints about the 2016 season, “which starts tomorrow”, explaining that the addition of the relaunched WS 3.5 series “will contribute proposing the best motor racing event package in Europe”.

GT Open Champions Alvaro Parente and Miguel Ramos were duly acclaimed, together with the other trophies’ winners:  AF Corse (represented by Ugo Maceratini, for the Teams’ title), Claudio Sdanewitsch (GT-Am) and James Abbott (GT Cup), while Pasin Lathouras and Ezequiel Pérez-Companc collected the cups for runner-up and third classified overall, also in representation of their respective team mates, Michele Rugolo and Raffaele Giammaria.
