Gary started the the race in pole position, thanks to his teammate Lancaster who realized an outstanding lap during the qualifying session. Throughout an extremely competitive and close battle until the last lap, the Swiss driver and his teammates won the first race of the European Le Mans Series season with the team Greaves Motorsport secured by Kairos Technologies, with an delightful second fastest lap time during the race :

” The entire team is thrilled with this incredible weekend. We didn’t have a chance to practice as much as we would usually for a start to the season. I got to know my teammates during the first official tests and we already form a very good and complementary team. The combination of the chassis Gibson with the Nissan Motor were perfect for the race.”

“I started in pole position with the mission to create the gap if possible as well as to preserve fuel and tires in order to keep them for a double stint. After the release of the Safety car, the Gibson of Jota overtook me, we expected them to have an extra stop so I had to stay close by and save fuel. During the pit stop a front tire was changed due to a flat spot. During the second stint I got the chance to push harder. The car was fantastic and I enjoyed driving it. I was able to take over the lead and set the fastest lap time, before the Jota would slightly improve it.”

“Bjorn and Jon were amazing throughout the weekend. Both performed incredible stints with an amazing final.
