The 2016 Ferrari Challenge Europe calendar kicks off on two classic circuits, which are then followed by a number of debuts and welcome returns.
Classic start. The 458 Challenge EVO will compete again in 2016 after its outstanding performances this season with its kit, delivering nail biting and spectacular races in complete safety. The world’s most famous one-make championship will open as usual at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza from 1 to 3 April. The following month it will go to Mugello, for the second and final Italian leg of the championship (29 April – 1 May). In June it will return to France and the legendary Le Mans track where the 24 Hours will take place the same weekend (16-18 June).
From east to west. The first new venue in the championship makes its bow in July (29-31). The Ferrari series will go to the Sochi track that also hosts the Formula 1 Grand Prix in what will be the first of two Ferrari Racing Days events for Europe. This will be the Russian debut for a series in which many of that country’s drivers have competed. After the summer break things get going in a big way with the second Ferrari Racing Days event at Hockenheim, where in addition to the Challenge there will be an exhibition by Scuderia Ferrari, on track sessions by F1 Clienti and the XX Programmes. Jerez de la Frontera, in southern Spain, closes the season ahead of the Finali Mondiali. The race weekend will be 7 to 9 October. while the concluding act of the year will be from 1 to 4 December at a location to be revealed during this season’s Finali Mondiali at Mugello (5-8 November).
