After a thrilling and very successful season 2015 in the Blancpain Lamborghini Super Trofeo the team has increased the number of cars for coming season.
Therefore the team is happy to announce already 3 line-ups for the European series as well for the world final:
The wheel of Huracán #2 will be shared by the young driver duo Sarah Bovy (Belgium) and Ben Gersekowski (Australia). 26 years old Sarah has started her racing career in 2005 with Formula Renault and competed already in several Touring- and GT cars in both, sprint and endurance races. 23 years old Ben started his racing career in 2009 with Formula Ford Australia before he won the vice- title in Australian F3 in 2014. After his F3 campaign he focused on endurance racing with Touringcars.
Huracán #4 will be driven by the 39 years old “Fineboy” from Nigeria. He started his racing-career in 2013 with Porsche before he competed in the prototype-like Radical championship. After a few tests he joined the Leipert squad already for the 24h Dubai 2016.
The #8 Huracán will see Louis Wagner (Luxembourg) at the wheel. 53 year old Louis is a well-known face to the Team who started his racing several years ago in the German Formula 3. He has already participated with the team in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo on Lamborghini Gallardo in selected races in the past.
Furthermore the team has entered the complete 24h Series by Creventic with one Lamborghini Huracán with the option to extend the commitment on a two car base. The upcoming race in this series will be the 12h Mugello/Italy in March with the driver crew Thomas Black (GB), Christopher Kemp (GB), Angelos Metaxa (CH) and Nigel Greensall (GB).
In addition to the Lamborghini-connected schedule the company around Ingo and Marcel Leipert is planning some new and interesting projects, which are quite labor intensive.
Among others Marcel Leipert sets his priority to the development of the Toyota Altis Project. This project comprises the further development of the Toyota Altis race cars for “TOYOTA Team THAILAND” by Arto in Germany. The Thai team is supported by Leipert Motorsport in Germany since 3 years and will again participate with two Toyota Altis cars and a Thai-driver crew at several VLN races and the 24h race at the Nürburgring.
Furthermore Leipert Motorsport is considering a campaign in the Toyota GT86 cup on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and the entry of the Toyota GT86 in an endurance version for the 24h Series 2016.
