Still living adjustment to the championship Blancpain Endurance Series, as this will be only the second race of BMW Team Brazil in the long-racing series, the Brazilian team arrives at Silverstone (England), in this weekend, excited to fight for good points in the standings. For this, the squad hopes to have the learning of the first round and with the good relationship between his drivers and mechanics to get good results.

In this round, the green and yellow cast will have the return of Matheus Stumpf, who defended the team for four seasons. He will join Átila Abreu and Valdeno Brito in the BMW Z4 #77. In the other car of the team, will be the same trio of the first stage: Cacá Bueno/Sérgio Jimenez/Felipe Fraga in the BMW Z4 #0. Every team has the expectation improve performance and ensure points in the standings. But, this goal will not be easy for the team led by Antonio Hermann and Washington Bezerra. The number of cars on the Silverstone entry list will pass the cap of 60 cars for the first time in history.

Driver´s Quotes:
Átila Abreu, BMW Z4 #77
“Silverstone is another new racetrack for me and for the team, never raced there. We will have to learn and try and balance the car. It will be a slightly different learning than we have in other tracks and at the same time is an endurance race. It’s a track that has many lines, and it is quite fast, as Monza, but is characterized, their long radius curves, which is good for our car. I´m sure it will be a more peaceful round, but at the same time we will be days of many challenges. We work hard to have a strong car for those three hours. The Matheus (Stumpf) will be on the team, he knows the very car well and he should help. Our goal is to finish in the points, it will be a good result, and show an evolution”.

Valdeno Brito, BMW Z4 #77
“Our expectation is to get a better result than it was in Monza. I believe that there will be an improvement in performance. We will do our best, betting on the constancy of trios and good consistency of the team in the pits stops. We also have the return of Matheus, who knows the car and together we have a good experience and goods results in the past. I believe he has to add up. Ensuring a top-10 is our goal”.

Matheus Stumpf, BMW Z4 #77
I don´t know the Silverstone circuit, just raced at Brands Hatch with BMW Team Brasil. The expectation of a good result is great, because the car BMW Z4 had an upgrade since last year, and the team has shown that it is able to get a podium finish”.

Cacá Bueno, BMW Z4 #0
I never raced in Silverstone, so I don´t know the racetrack, but I’m studying the track in simulators. I believe it will not be good as it was at Brands Hatch, but it will probably be better than it was in Monza, just the characteristics of this circuit, which is not too favor the BOP (Balance of Perfomance) of our car, but there are some parts that we can go well. I believe we will have a good race pace to fight for championship points”.

Sérgio Jimenez, BMW Z4 #0
“It is expected to improve the performance on the track that has many lines. In Silverstone we have it, but we also have some high speed corners which benefits us. I hope we can take to have a good performance. We are still adapting to the Endurance Championship. We were well in Monza in matter of strategy, but we need to improve a bit yet. I’m sure this round will be better. I’ve raced in Silverstone, but on the old track, so it’ll be a novelty. We demonstrated at Brands Hatch that on tracks that our car is competitive, we will race well”.

Felipe Fraga, BMW Z4#0
“The expectation is very good because it is a track that has many high curves and I think we’ll have much chance to perform well. Silverstone is the only track that I don´t know, all we will race in this year, so it will be new to me. Our goal is to score points, but always dreaming higher. We want to try as much as possible to fight for victories. Perhaps at this track we have a more balanced car compared to others. Let’s hope and work so that everything goes right”.
