Matt McMurry and Daniel Burkett teamed up in the No. 16 BAR1 Motorsports Prototype Challenge car for this weekends Continental Tire Road Race Showcase at the legendary Road America. Both drivers had outstanding results throughout the weekend.

The earlier part of the week was marred by nasty weather and continually changing track conditions. Track time was at a premium for everyone. Given the length of the course, all teams were left scrambling to gather precious data and set up information. Of course drivers were left with very little seat time.

“Given the conditions, we were really pleased with our performance,” noted team owner, Brian Alder. “The team did a great job setting up the car and having it ready for Sunday’s race. Both Matt and Daniel had fantastic drives. In fact Matt posted the fastest lap times among Silver drivers, while Daniel hung right in there with all the pro drivers in his stint.”

“Our pit stop strategy was playing out perfectly… and the crew did a flawless job calling and making our stops,” Brian continued. “I’m very pleased with the job everyone did. I think we’re in great shape as we prepare for COTA and Petit Le Mans.”
