We now can  announce the drivers line-ups of our 2 McLaren MP4-12C GT3, for the last event of the season, the “Baku World Challenge”.

Two Belgian drivers will share the car : Frédéric Vervisch, our Blancpain driver, and Stoffel Vandoorne, the new Vice-Champion Formula Renault 3.5  (World Series by Renault) which is also  part of the ” Young Driver Development Program McLaren .” Stoffel has already tested with our McLaren MP4 -12C GT3 at Zolder 2 weeks ago.. He has discovered the circuit more than the car !

On the other car , we will find Alexander Sims , the English driver, and Stef Dusseldorp , the Dutch driver . Both are familiar with McLaren , Stef won the Challenge Baku in 2012.

Olivier Lainé (Team Manager): “Several promising young drivers have gone through our team and have won championships with us (Jerome D’Ambrosio, Maxime Martin, Maxime Soulet …). We are very pleased to welcome the young hope Stoffel Vandoorne for this great event. “

Stoffel Vandoorne : « I’m really happy to join Boutsen Ginion Racing for the Baku World Challenge race. It will be something very different to what I’m used to drive, but I’m looking forward to this experience. We will try our best as usual and give it a good go for the victory! »

Frédéric Vervisch : “I’m very happy I can finish my first GT-season with the FIA GT closing race in Baku, thanks to the team that believes in me. Knowing it’s taking place on a street circuit, makes me even more excited.. Street circuits are my favorite! I’m also looking forward to work together with my tea mate and friend, Stoffel Vandoorne.”

Alexander Sims : “I am extremely excited to be placed with Boutsen Ginion Racing by McLaren for the Baku street race. It will be the first time for me racing at Baku and also first time working with the team. I have been in the same paddock this year as I drove in the Blancpain series with Hexis and it has been clear to me that Boutsen has a strong package and I look forward to driving their McLaren and fighting for the best result possible.”

Stef Dusseldorp : ” I’m really looking forward to race in Baku again. I have good memories from racing there last year in the streets. Although the track will be different this year, I hope I can fight for the victory again with Boutsen”.
