The second round of the VLN Championship is taking place at the Nordschleife this weekend. The AMG-Team HTP Motorsport is running again with two Mercedes-AMG GT3. Following successful test kilometres and a great result at the Qualification race, the team from Germany is looking forward to the race in the Eifel.
Both Mercedes-AMG GT3 will be driven by Nordschleife-experienced drivers. Whilst the #16 Mercedes-AMG GT3 is raced by Dominik Baumann (A), Maximilian Buhk (GER), Thomas Jäger (GER) and Stefan Mücke (GER), the sister car with the #26 will see Marco Seefried (GER), Christian Vietoris (GER), Christian Hohenadel (GER) and Maximilian Buhk (GER) behind the wheel.
Maximilian Buhk is looking ahead to the four-hour race. “I am very excited about the VLN race”, says the 23-year-old. “We have a great team and both Mercedes-AMG GT3 have great driver combinations. I am looking forward to the challenge, to bring the team to the front.”
The coming race will be another important milestone for the AMG-Team HTP Motorsport, collecting further mileage and experience around the Nordschleife to be best prepared for the 24h-Race in May.
“Our goal is to have a solid race and bring both cars home in a good position”, says Norbert Brückner, Team Principal AMG-Team HTP Motorsport. “We have no pressures and no great expectations, we simply want to have a good run and get valid information for the 24-hour-race.”
