Leading Pirelli World Challenge team Always Evolving reveals plans for an expanded 2017 program with a third Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.

The Nissan-supported Always Evolving team has become championship contending race winners in the past two seasons with James Davison and former GT Academy winner, Bryan Heitkotter.

Run in conjunction with AIM Autosport, the Always Evolving team will begin the driver addition search this weekend at the Utah Motorsport Campus when British ace Craig Dolby steps aboard the No.33 entry.

Dolby is no stranger to the Always Evolving squad having driven for the team in the final Blancpain GT Series rounds in Europe towards the end of last year.

He is also the official development driver for JRM – the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 Official Partner of Nissan Motorsport International which supports customer programs in Europe, Middle East and Russia.

Dolby starred in his last outing for Always Evolving on board a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 at the Nurburgring in Germany last year. Leaping from the second row of the grid, he charged into the race lead and held that spot throughout his stint against a packed field of 55 of the best GT3 cars in the world.

“It feels mega to be back with the Always Evolving team and crew from AIM Autosport,” Dolby said.

“This is an amazing opportunity to be part of, I’m really looking forward to the weekend of racing in the US it’s been a life long dream to come over here. We had quick success with the Blancpain program last season and it’s great to be back in the NISMO GT-R.”

James Davison, a longtime Always Evolving athlete, switches roles this weekend to provide coaching and expertise while the team gets Craig Dolby acclimated to the PWC sprint weekend format.

“We’d love to have James and Bryan back with us next year but Craig is certainly one of the guys on our radar for the expanded program,” Always Evolving team owner, Erik Davis said.

“With the 2017 schedules now revealed, we’re investigating running both the existing Championship Sprint format plus the new Sprint X Series which will obviously require us to add to our driver talent pool.

“The new partnership between the Pirelli World Challenge and the SRO organization is proving to be a positive step forward for GT3 racing in the US.”
