The Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 took Bryan Heitkotter and Always Evolving team-mate James Davison to five trophies in two races at the latest round of the Pirelli World Challenge last weekend.

Series rookie Heitkotter scored his fifth win in the GTA class at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, a result that was also good enough to finish third overall.

Heitkotter had to start his #05 Always Evolving/GT Academy machine in 20th position on Saturday due to a shortened qualifying session, but was able to set a fastest lap in his run up through the field to a second place GTA result in race one.

That flying lap earned him a third-place starting spot for Sunday’s race two, and the 2011 GT Academy winner was able to hold his position and pull away from series point leader and factory Ferrari driver Olivier Beretta to earn a comfortable GTA class win and an overall podium for the first time this season.

“After a rocky start to my weekend with a tough qualifying, I had a great first race moving up the field and setting a fast lap for third on the race two grid,” the 34-year-old said.

“That helped turn my weekend around tremendously thanks to the continuing hard work of the team. We are pushing all the time, and it’s showing with our results.”

Australian Davison continued his excellent 2015 season form in his #33 Always Evolving/RePlay XD Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 at Mid-Ohio.

He earned a brace of second-place finishes to move further up in the PWC championship standings.

“It was another consistently strong weekend for the Always Evolving/AIM Autosport/Nissan Nismo team. We’re really gelling well and on a roll right now,” he explained. “I gave it absolutely everything to try and win both races but just couldn’t quite complete the pass for the lead.”

The Always Evolving team’s 2015 season has exceeded all expectations so far, taking 14 podiums in the season’s 15 rounds to date. Davison and Heitkotter have delivered seven class wins including two overall victories, six runner-up finishes and one third place.

JRM Partnership Manager, James Walters, said: “The Always Evolving guys are having a fantastic season in the Pirelli World Challenge and have really got to grips with the Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 and shown how competitive the package is.

“It’s fantastic to see Bryan and James racing so strongly and their run of nine podiums in the last five races is a record that everyone associated with the programme should be very proud of.”
