John Dhillon, Aaron Scott, Richard Lyons and Pasin Lathouras are the drivers at the wheel of the two AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia lined up in the 2014 British GT. Dhillon and Scott have shown powerful perfomances in the last season of the hotly contested British GT Championship. Lyons and Lathouras make their debut in a second AF Corse Ferrari and are aiming for the top positions. These four drivers will race the whole British GT Cham- pionship. At Spa and Silverstone, AF Corse will enter a third 458 with Charlie Hollings and Jacques Duyver.
Dhillon: “I really enjoyed my first season with AF Corse and it was an easy decision to stay with the team for 2014. I improved a lot in my driving last year and really enjoy racing in the British GT Championship. I’d like to think that Aaron and I will be able to fight for podiums from the first race next year”.
Scott: “I’m really looking forward to the new season in British GT and for John and I it’s great to have the conti- nuity of working again with AF Corse who are undoubtably one of the best teams in the business. It’s also good to have 2 cars in the team and, with a strong driver pairing as our team mates, I’m sure we can look forward to a good season together in British GT!”.
Lyons: “I am extremely excited and honoured that I will be back racing in Britain for the pretigious British GT Championship with AF Corse. Most of the circuits I have raced on in the past with great results and look forwards to succeeding with the Ferrair 458 GT3. My team mate, Pasin Lathouras does not have experience racing on these circuits but has been very successful and super fast in the Asian series. I think we can have a great partnership with AF Corse and look forwards to the season ahead”.
Lathouras: “I’m very happy to join AF Corse for the British GT Championship this year. To drive with this top international team again after several races in Asia with them last year is great. This is the career break I have dreamt of for so long, to come to Europe where all the best sports car drivers in the world race. Im delighted that Richard Lyons will be my team mate, he’s very experienced, fast, reliable and a proven winner, I hope to be able to learn a lot from him and I hope to contribute to the partnership. But also, realistically, I now have a huge oppor- tunity, a fast team, a fast car and a fast teammate, so now I have to work harder than I have ever done to deliver and pay back the faith that so many people have placed in me, especially also my sponsors and many many”.
The first race of the British GT Championship will be at Oulton Park with a double race, April 19th.
