In the 2011 season Christopher Haase will once again compete for Phoenix Racing. The team, with headquarters in Meuspath at the Nürburgring, won the 2009 FIA GT3 European Championship with Christopher Haase in an Audi R8 LMS. In the same year he won the ADAC GT Masters series three times in the same car. For the new season the team provides the native Frank with the successful Audi model R8 LMS.
“The ADAC GT Masters have become a top championship for GT racing cars. The series is organised very professionally and offers great marketing opportunities due to the Kabel1 live coverage”, says Phoenix team principal, Ernst Moser. “Phoenix Racing has had good experiences and success in the ADAC GT Masters series. In 2011 we are going to face this big challenge. The 32 GT sports cars that are already registered are a very strong competition.”
Christopher Haase is also looking forward to the new season. “I am happy to start again in the GT Masters with Phoenix. The 2009 season in the Phoenix Audi was great, winning ADAC GT Masters races and especially our FIA GT3 European Championship title”, says the 23-year old from Kulmbach. “The ADAC GT Masters races in the 2011 season will surely be hard and exciting. However, with the Audi R8 LMS I will get a chance to be in the top group.”
