As reigning champions, both in the “drivers” as also the “constructors” rankings, ProSpeed Competition has also always set its heart at excelling on Belgian circuits. And this will once again be the case in 2012 thanks to Frédéric Bouvy, Damien Coens, Christian Kelders, Didier Grandjean, Pascal Muller and Chris Mattheus. The first three named will be competing in a fearsome Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The qualities of this German coupe, bearing the colours of Red Bull-Real Dolmen, performed brilliantly last year during the 24 Hours of Zolder. On the other hand the Grandjean-Muller-Mattheus trio will be at the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Colen-Freeman T.Porter-Quick. The two teams will be competing in both the ” Short Races” and “Long Races” of this brand new Belgian Championship.

The arrival of this new circuit related “new look” Belgian Championship is taking shape. With the entry confirmation of two ProSpeed Competition Porsches, the reigning champions, the Belgian Racing Car Championship promoters have received some solid support. This competition, open to Touring and Grand Touring cars will be comprised out of two types of championship races. On the one hand the “Short Races” championship, which will concentrate on two sprints of thirty minutes at each meeting. On the other hand the “Long Races” championship will be a three hours endurance race. The Bouvy- Coens-Kelders and Grandjean-Muller-Mattheus teams will be active… on all fronts!

Rudi Penders (Team Principal):

-”Developing our passion, namely motorport, implies some strong commitments. Our discipline needs it. ProSpeed Competition will be present in the BRCC with, as main objective, in this Olympic year, to defend the values of a sport. This is not only our wish, but also that of our drivers and all our partners.”

Frédéric Bouvy (Porsche 911 GT3 RS #3):

-”It’s been a very long winter… Damien, Christian and myself are delighted to be able to carry on competing together. On the Belgian scene the 2012 season is going to be a challenging year. We’re ready to take it on, with all the other players. You know our Porsche’s outfit, bearing the colours of Red Bull, Real Dolmen, Berghen Shoes and Superdry. And you are also fully aware of the ProSpeed Competition Porsches’ record of achievements. Our idea is a very simple one, to blend the two together!”

Didier Grandjean (Porsche 911 GT3 Cup #60):

-”I have been following ProSpeed Competition’s adventures on the European circuits for many years. So, today being able to join the team is – in a manner of speaking – the realisation of a dream. Pascal, Chris and myself are true amateur drivers, but this doesn’t imply that we don’t have the urge to learn. And that is what we are going to do. In all honesty we can’t wait to get going! In fact we have already started. Thanks to our faithful partners, Colen, Freeman T.Porter and Quick the car is now wearing its smartest outfit.”
