United Autosports are heading to Brands Hatch, Kent for the fifth round of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship this weekend (10th/11th August) after the long summer break.

The team left Snetterton, nearly two months ago, with all three cars finishing in the top ten for the first time this season – something they are hoping to build on for the rest of the championship. The Audi R8 LMS ultra of Mark Patterson and Matt Bell is poised ready to battle for the lead of the championship, going into the Brands Hatch weekend only half a point behind the leading team.

Both McLaren MP4-12C GT3 cars are aiming for a top result too, with Zak Brown, Álvaro Parente, Glynn Geddie and Jody Firth all raring to go after the long break.

The race this weekend round the Grand Prix circuit will be the second of three two hour races in the 2013 championship, including refuelling during the pit stops. With over thirty cars aiming to take the start of the race, the competition looks set to be fierce.

Richard Dean, Team Owner and Managing Director, United Autosports: “We are confident of a strong result this weekend. Leaving Snetterton with all three cars in the top ten was a massive boost for the team and we are hoping to build on that success at Brands Hatch. Mark and Matt in the Audi are only half a point off leading the championship so hopes are high for a good result.”
