Road America : Mühlner Motorsport preview.

The DeLand (Florida) based Muehlner Motorsport-America Team will run with two Porsches at the legendary Road America circuit near Elkhart Lake Wisconsin.

With an incredible driver lineup called the “Dream Team”. The Muehlner Motorsports America Porsche with starting # 18 will be driven by Jeroen Bleekemolen from the Netherlands and Tim Bergmeister from Germany.

Both professionals have repeatedly resorted to the wheel of a Muehlner Porsche and are internationally known for their fantastic results. “We have two pilots with Jeroen and Tim this weekend with whom we have worked many times in the past. The chemistry between us is great and can squeeze every tenth of a second out of the car” said team boss Bernhard Muehlner.

 

The Muehlner Porsche # 19 will have Bob Doyle and Grant Maiman behind the wheel. “The two have already teamed up in several races before and are harmonize well together”, said Muehlner. “We believe that we can show a completely new performance with those cockpits this weekend. We have worked hard over the past weeks and months, learned a lot and hope that we can put this into the corresponding results now. It’s time for the next step”.

The Grand-Am-ALMS merger for the upcoming year will be the “United Sports Car Racing” series. With it’s commitment to this year Muehlner lays the foundation for the motor sport success next year. Being one of the first teams that has ordered two of the latest Porsche 991 GT models for the world famous 24-hour race at Daytona. The first test in Daytona will take place in December in addition to the Roar in January.

Muehlner Motorsports America has raced in the United States since 2010. In its long racing history Muehlner achieved 107 victories and 249 podium finishes so far. The race starts on Saturday at 5PM and will be televised on the Speed channel live.
