Strange atmosphere at Donington this weekend, where only 13 cars made up the grid of the second round of the European Le Mans Series championship. We were only present with the Formula Le Mans as we could not complete the LMP2 drivers line-up. Friday practices took place under a flood, the second practice session was even delayed as the track was really too wet to drive. Our three drivers: the French Dagoneau Thomas and Jean-Charles Battut, and English, John Harsthorne, improved their times throughout the meeting.
Result of the weekend : the pole position in qualifying on Saturday. And the win on Sunday! We are now leading the ELMS championship, FLM class.
Jean-Charles Battut: “We cannot deny this victory. This Championship has to continue as it has its place. This is a very good training to achieve our goal, to participate one day at the Le Mans 24 Hours. The team, as always, was at the top. I will do everything to participate in the Brno and Portimao races. “
Dagoneau Thomas: “This championship is important for those who want to participate in the 24 hours without participating to the WEC championship. We must therefore promote the FLM class, as it needs to exist.”
John Hartshorne: “The team is very professional and hardworking, which saved us after our brake problem in the last hour of the race. We have improved our laptimes during the meeting, .. this is proof that it does not rain every day in Britain!”
