Racing McLaren GT cars from the past and present came together at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium today thanks to German businessman and gentleman driver, Roald Goethe, Gulf Racing UK, McLaren GT and McLaren Automotive.

Present in this shot are two Gulf Racing UK McLaren MP4-12C GT3s which will be taking part in this weekend’s fourth round of the Blancpain Endurance Series, the 24 Hours of Spa. The Gulf Racing UK team is owned by Roald Goethe and Michael Wainwright and based in Surrey, England, and the MP4-12C GT3 is the marque’s new-for-2012 GT3 challenger.

The Gulf Oil International-liveried car they are flanking is a 1997 McLaren F1 GTR ‘Long Tail’ which was raced by GTC Competition/Gulf Team Davidoff. Chassis 22R competed in six of 11 rounds of the 1997 FIA GT Championship in the hands of German businessman and car collector, Tomas Bscher, and Le Mans and sportscar champion, John Nielsen. The car is part of Roald’s ROFGO collection.
