Last weekend Leipert Motorsport participated with the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo at the 24h race @24hSeries again. Under glorious blue sky and the hot sun of southern France the Huracán ST from Leipert had shown his impressive potential on the Circuit Paul Ricard again.

For the endurance- experienced motorsportteam from Wegberg the french- and germanspeaking foursome Oliver Ditzler (CH), Jean-Paul von Burg (CH), Fredy Barth (CH) and Jürgen Krebs (GER) drove the race in class A6 AM.

Already in the free practices on Thursday and Friday with around 28 degrees ambient temperature everything went smoothly. The four drivers coped very well with the Lamborghini  Huracán Super Trofeo on the hot french race track and the italianbreed racecar with new design became a permanent photo object of several motorsport buddies on the race track.

The qualifying on Friday afternoon brought the team a 2nd starting place in class A6 AM and the 13th starting place overall.

Fredy Barth was already at the beginning of the race able to conquer five positions and was on position 8 when he crossed the start- and finishline in the 2nd lap. Just before the planned ending of his 1st stint Fredy certainly  dragged with extremly slow ride with a flat tire on the back of the left side- first to the fuelstation and then to driver- and tirechange to the pitbox. Because of the flat tire the Leipert Lamborghini had to enqueue on position 32. After the 3rd hour the Lamborghini however carved out the 11th place again.

From the 4th hour on the Huracán was nearly solely located in top 10 from 51 started cars.

Meanwhile there was another short interlude when by outward exposures in the front of the car the bodykit was damaged so heavy that the Huracán had to insert a unwanted pitstop and lost several positions. But drivers and team have also mastered this interlude brilliant with steadily good performance and a perfect pursuit race.

The last 2 hours of the race transpired then again as a thrill for drivers and team. The Leipert Huracán ST was positioned as a ´sandwich` for 2 hours between the 2nd and the 4th placed of the class A6 AM – the podium in close proximity.

Because of strategically smart refuelling stops and driver changes the team succeeded after the thrilling 24h  of the race the 3rd position in class A6 AM and the 6th position overall.

 Team owner Ingo Leipert:

´We are looking back on a incredible race. The podium in class A6 AM and the achievement of the 6th position overall was a fully succees for the team and the drivers Oliver Ditzler, Jean-Paul von Burg, Fredy Barth and Jürgen Krebs.

The good prepared Huracán ST completed the 24hour race-distance completely without any problems.

I want to say ´Thank you` to our staff and the four drivers, without their continuous good perfomance we would not have reached this succes. Now we are tensed whether we are able to overcome this succes at the upcoming 24h race at Barcelona ,where we are going to start with 2 Huracán ST.`

The next race for the team is the Lamborghini Blanpain Super Trofeo race on the ardennen rollercoaster in Spa- Francorchamps from the 29th – 30th of July.
