With its second consecutive round in Japan, the GT Asia tour now stops at Fuji International Speedway. This circuit, famous as much for its challenging layout as it is for its location at the foot of Mt Fuji, will be the battleground for rounds 7 & 8 of the 2016 GT Asia campaign.

Its been a tough season thus far for Lyons and the Craft Bamboo Racing team with fortune and lady luck really not smiling down on their championship charge. But as with everything, hard work and dedication to the excellent Porsche 911 GT3 R platform will pay dividends, much is still to be learned.
Bags of potential have already been seen in the Porsche, and the 4.56Km long track just a stones throw away from Tokyo may be the place where that potential is unlocked.

Weather at this time of year in Japan still unpredictable, and the Porsche still an unknown quantity in the field, the words “Dark Horse” come to mind.

Lyons and Frank Yu both have great experience at Fuji with Lyons claiming more than half a dozen podium finishes including 3 SuperGT wins at this fabled track, so you have to feel that the best is yet to come.

“Another “home” race weekend for me and feeling positive that we can show a little of what we have learnt from a very testing and difficult first half of the season. Okayama ultimately turned into a bit of a test for us in the end, but these type of weekends strengthen my resolve and only make a team like ours stronger. Frank and I are more hungry than ever and we aim to leave nothing on the table.  Our Interush Porsche crew have been working flat out to get us ready for the challenge of Fuji Speedway, such a formidable circuit.
