2016 will be an incredibly busy year for Josh Webster. The 22 year old from Suffolk has joined Konrad Motorsport for a double assault on the Blancpain Endurance Series together with the Lamborghini European Super Trofeo Championship.
Webster will be racing in arguably two of the most competitive GT series’ in the world, driving one of the team’s brand new Lamborghini Huracan GT3 cars, which will be entered into the Pro-Am category for BES and Pro category for ST.
The 2014 Porsche Carrera Cup GB champion makes the switch to GT racing after spending the last 2 years as the Porsche GB scholar. Webster commented, “I’d like to thank Franz Konrad for this amazing opportunity. We have been evaluating all the European GT3 series and are thrilled with the programme we have pulled together. Konrad is a well-respected name within the GT community and I am thrilled to be racing with such an experienced and successful team of professionals.”

Webster’s first outing with the German based squad will be at the famous Sebring 12hrs race next weekend 18-20th March, followed by a testing programme in southern Europe before the team heads to Monza for the opening round of the Blancpain Endurance Series championship.

Over the winter, Webster who is managed by Define Performance, has been busy preparing for his first season in endurance racing. Webster’s manager Brad Fincham commented “Lamborghini are putting a lot of energy into the Super Trofeo and GT3 programmes and this presents a real opportunity for Josh to be competitive and continue his development in the world of GT and endurance racing.”
In addition to the Blancpain Endurance Series, Webster will race a Lamborghini Huracan for the team in the Super Trofeo series in the PRO category, with his co- drivers in both championships to be announced shortly.
