The best possible conclusion of the season for Kessel Racing: in Abu Dhabi – at the fifth edition of the Gulf 12 Hours – the men from the Swiss Team won the races of every class in which they participated. The first of the two parts – each over six hours – was started in the early morning in Abu Dhabi (9:20am CET). After the first six hours the car started by Kessel Racing in the PRO class with Broniszewski/Piccini/Rigon gained overall win. The car crossed the line ahead of the two Mercedes SLS from the Black Falcon Racing Team. De Bernardi/Capirossi/Cadei with their Ferrari 458 GT3 concluded the race in first place in the Gentleman class. They were followed by the other car from Kessel Racing with Gitlin/Lyons/Zanuttini guaranteeing the team a splendid one-two win after the first six hours.

The second part of the race started when the sun came down over the Yas Marina circuit. And again the men from Grancia dominated the show.  Broniszewski/Piccini/Rigon brought home the overall win in the PRO class, crossing the line ahead of the Mercedes SLS from the Black Falcon Team and the Aston Martin Vantage from the Oman Racing Team. Gitlin/Lyons/Zanuttini winning the Gentleman category, meanwhile De Bernardi/Capirossi/Cadei, victorious in the first part of the race, crossed the line in second position amongst the Gentlemen.

RONNIE KESSEL (Team Principal): “A great season ends with this enormous success. Over the last year we gained so much in every competition we participated in and it was extremely satisfying. We really wanted to do well here in Abu Dhabi, achieving the success we missed on other occasions. Big thanks go to our fantastic drivers, to the men and women of the team, who were great throughout the year on every single occasion. What else to say… it’s almost sad that such a great season is about to end. But 2016 is just around the corner. And we’ll be right there to fight for victory.”
