Fjordbach made a victorious return to Silver Cup in Misano

The interesting final part of the season of Blancpain Sprint Series will take part during October with the two final rounds of the 2015 campaign. The first duel for drivers and teams will be in Italian floor, in Misano’s track. Danish drivers Anders and Thomas Fjordbach were entered with his habitual Audi R8 LMS Ultra after some months out of the series, with a new white and blue spectacular Polar Seafood car livery.

Friday’s intense working in race preliminary sessions for Anders and Thomas Fjordbach, in which they testing some suspension set up’s and race strategies, during all the first day on the track. “We tried some things to be prepared for the race, the car was really well and after the improvements on Free Practice sessions we gained confidence” explained Anders Fjordbach.

In qualifying sessions, the Danish brothers worked hard trying to improve lap by lap his times, but an unlucky track limits annulled lap, not permitted they to down more his 1:35,718, as his best time achieved.

The Qualifying race represented in Misano an extra challenge due to the night conditions that found the drivers running at 20:45h PM, definitely the nocturne starting time added more interest and excitement to this always competitive championship.

But darkness was not a handicap for Anders and Thomas Fjordbach who set a solid race ending in front of his rivals in Silver Cup. “We were really focusing on the cars around us, and not really thinking on our position in the Silver Cup. It is a good thing to have won it of course, but tomorrow we will try to finish as high as possible overall as well.” said Thomas Fjordbach.

Sunday’s main race was programmed at daylight as usual, Thomas and Anders started with the objective to run with the best feeling on the track after some races off the series. The race was useful for the Danish brothers to recover sensations and after the problems of his rivals, his consistency were finally awarded being the winners of Silver Cup in his Blancpain come back.

“Of course, we are satisfied with the final result achieved on Silver Cup, we are here after a break in the Series and accumulate kilometres another time in the car without mistakes was important for us here in Misano. Now we will travel to Netherlands for the last Sprint race of the season with the objective to improve and get a good result” concluded Anders Fjordbach after the podium ceremony.
Next racing compromise for High Class Racing will be double for next weekend (10-11/October), by one side Thomas Fjordbach will be racing in Fuji International Circuit on the penultimate round of Audi R8 LMS Cup, and by the other, Anders Fjordbach will be present at the last race of Blancpain Sprint Series in Zanvoort (Netherlands).
