Two weeks after the final round of the Blancpain Endurance Series the team Car Collection Motorsport from team principal Peter Schmidt returns to the Nürburgring. At the 55th ADAC Reinoldus-Langstreckenrennen the team has something special in his luggage. The SLS AMG GT3 with start number 33 is used in the yellow-green MANN-FILTER outfit. Not only the design is to attract attention, for the race on 03 October, has set itself ambitious goals. Kenneth Heyer, Lance David Arnold and Tim Scheerbarth are aiming a step on the podium.
In addition to the Gullwing the team from Walluf will entry two Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. On the 911 type 997 (# 89) share Ingo Vogler, Dr. Wolfgang Kemper the cockpit. A third driver is still being sought. The second Zuffenhausen type 991 (# 99) will be driven by Michael Heimrich, Klaus Koch and by the team principal Peter Schmidt.
Peter Schmidt (Team principal): „Of course we are very pleased with the renewed cooperation with MANN-FILTER. At the 24 hour race at the Nürburgring unfortunately the luck we missed. Due to an accident around 11:00 PM the car had to be unfortunately shut down prematurely. The final results in the VLN show that we can drive in the leading group. Again, however, we lacked so far fortunate. If now it cooperates, the podium is realistic. Our team is highly motivated and we will give everything for a good result.”
Jörg Engels (Director Brand Management MANN+HUMMEL GmbH): “We are very happy now to see the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 of Team Car Collection motorsport at the 8th VLN race for the second time back to the green-yellow MANN-FILTER colors.
