Chinese driver Dasheng Zhang just perfectly finished his Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup debut with LEM Racing during the Formula 1 weekend in Monza, Italy.
Dasheng Zhang, who is just 23 years old, is the first Chinese driver participates in this top single make series in the world. But it is not the first time for Zhang race in Europe. After 3 years experience in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, he got a seat in Porsche Carrera Cup Italy this year and PCCI scholarship training program.
In addition to race PCCI in Italy, Zhang participate Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Series with FUN88 JRM Racing. Zhang had impressive performance in this series and already won Pro/AM class in Fuji round.
On 5 September, the Chinese driver race at Monza circuit which is the highest level of Porsche Carrera Cup Series and one of the support race in Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix. He started at 25th place. The beginning of contention is a lot of confusion, which resulted in the appearance of the safety car on track and falls off a few drivers. Zhang skillfully avoid the crash. After 14 laps completed, he stayed at 19th place which exactly reach his personal target – finish within 20th position.
Porsche Super Cup Race 2 is start on Sunday morning. This time Zhang was start on 27th. This place is more laborious for Zhang to get good position as that must have congestion there. During the race, Zhang luckily flit out some crash on track and calmly overtake his competitor each by each. He took in 19th place after he cross the finish line.

After the excellent experience in Monza, Dasheng Zhang will back to race Porsche Carrere Cup Italy in Vallelunga on12-13 September.
