ROWE RACING is making its ADAC GT Masters comeback: as guest starters, the team will be competing in the fifth round of the current season with its #99 SLS AMG GT3. Nico Bastian (GER) and Stef Dusseldorp (NED) will be alternating behind the wheel of the gullwing in the two races at the Nürburgring. In 2014, ROWE RACING regularly competed in the ADAC GT Masters and scored numerous top ten results.
ROWE RACING’s team principal Hans-Peter Naundorf intends to use the guest start to prepare in race conditions for the next round of the Blancpain Endurance Series, also at the Nürburgring, in September.
“Our guest start in the ADAC GT Masters is our first race since the Spa 24 Hours, where we led the field for a long time and retired while on course for a podium finish. However, it was a great event and an impressive experience for the entire team. We also have fond memories of the ADAC GT Masters from last year, especially from our ‘home race’ at the Nürburgring that we didn’t want to miss out on this year. Moreover, we still have some unfinished business: in 2014, we didn’t manage to score a podium result in the series, so it would be great if we could change this next weekend, coming over as regular competitors from another series,” team principal Naundorf says.
The Nürburgring round marks the fifth of eight race meetings on the 2015 ADAC GT Masters race calendar. At the 3.269 kilometres long Nürburgring sprint circuit, two races of 60 minutes each will be held. As in all the ADAC GT Masters series’ rounds, a pit stop with driver change around the halfway point of the race is mandatory.
