Tom Onslow-Cole (GB) will race his fifth long distance endurance race of 2015 this weekend (11 July) in the 24H Series’ inaugural 24 Hours of Paul Ricard with RAM Racing and its Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, and the rising GT star aims to maintain his season’s run of podium successes.

It’s been a fantastic start to the year for the 28-year old Brit who has stood on the podium at every race he has entered from Dubai 24 Hours in January up to the Aston Martin support-race at the 24 Hours of Le Mans last month (13 June).

“The podium finishes have been coming thick and fast this season but we haven’t stood on the top step in 24H Series so I’m very much hoping to change that this weekend.” explained OC who is a face of Casio Edifice watches. “That said, we are involved in the title-fight and that’s something we don’t want to risk for a one-off result.”

The 24 Hours of Paul Ricard will be the fourth round of the 2015 24H Series, which is the world’s only long-distance endurance championship, comprising three 12-hour and three 24-hour events. OC and his team RAM Racing have taken second place at each round and they feel they are overdue that overall race win.

“We’ve narrowly missed out on the win in the last two races and, credit to the team, it’s generally been due to factors out of our control, but there are always things we can do to improve our strategy and processes that can reduce risk,” the Milltek Sport-supported driver said. “The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 has been perfect and the team has done an amazing job to give us a car that is always reliable, well-set up and well-run.”

OC will once again be joined in the blue and silver #30 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 by regular team-mate Paul White (GB), AMG works driver Thomas Jaeger (DE) and fellow Brit Adam Christodoulou.
