Organisers of the forthcoming Istanbul 12 Hours endurance race have announced a revised date for the running of the inaugural event – Sunday 18 October 2015.

The new October date has been chosen as a result of a survey conducted between teams, drivers and the public with the aim of making this debut 12-hour race at the Intercity Istanbul Park as successful as possible.

Official registration for the first Istanbul 12 Hours is will open next week for entrants, which will be a mix of GT, Sport Prototype and Touring Cars.

The race will be divided into the two six-hour race format, successfully used in the Gulf 12 Hours with teams permitted to work on their cars in between.
