Racing Studios made its official debut this weekend at the Vallelunga track, in the first 2015 Italian GT Championship round.

The team led by Thomas Biagi, who is engaged this year in the dual role of driver and team principal, lined up two McLaren MP4-12C GT3 racecars. One of the English supercar has been shared by Biagi and Filippo Francioni who scored the 16th position in Race 1, determined by unfavorable factors.

On the other McLaren, Daniel Mancinelli (Ferrari Challenge Europe “Trofeo Pirelli” runner up in 2013) and Ferdinando Geri, showed well in Race 1 before some engine problems forced them to retire. Similar troubles stopped prematurely both Racing Studios cars in Race 2.

“I am pleased about the work that we have done till now. – said Thomas Biagi – In just 50 days we were able to be here at Vallelunga for the first round of the season. All this was made possible thanks to a great team spirit that binds the whole team. Unfortunately “balance of performance” didn’t help us, and we should need more support from McLaren. By nature I am an optimist and I am sure that things will settle soon”.

Next event is scheduled on 31 May at Monza.
