In the opening round of the Blancpain Sprint Series, the Brazilian team will be attended by the Sperafico brothers aboard the BMW Z4 #0, while the BMW Z4 #77 will be conducted by Belgian Maxime Martin and the German Dirk Müller
The BMW Sports Trophy Team Brasil starts this Easter weekend in Nogaro (Fra), his third season in Europe. This year the Brazilian team, led by Antonio Hermann and Washington Bezerra, is expanding its involvement in the Blancpain GT Series, with the participation in the races of Sprint Series and also the Endurance Series with the driver line-up Cacá Bueno/Sérgio Jimenez/Felipe Fraga and Valdeno Brito/Átila Abreu. In the opening round of the Sprint Series the green and yellow team will feature four guests’ drivers.
In the BMW Z4 #0 will be Ricardo and Rodrigo Sperafico, who have raced for the team in 2014, in the round of Azerbaijan, when got two top-10. The twins believe that the technical improvements introduced in this year in the BMW Z4 can contribute to a good performance of the whole team.
In the BMW Z4 #77, two names that already are very familiar with the BMW models. The German GT expert Dirk Müller and the Belgian DTM driver Maxime Martin, both official drivers of BMW Motorsport.”
The series is familiar territory for Martin: the Belgian driver spent several years racing in the Blancpain Endurance Series before becoming taking up a regular seat in the DTM with BMW Motorsport in 2014. Müller is one of the most experienced drivers on the international GT racing scene, and has been successful in this field with BMW for many years.
The race weekend kicks off on Saturday (4th April) with the free practice sessions. Qualifying and the Qualifying Race will take place on Easter Sunday (5th April), with the Main Race scheduled for Easter Monday (6th April).
