BAR1 Motorsports arrives at the Sebring International Raceway for the 63rd running of the  Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida with one single goal. Win! Focused on a single car effort, the #16 SRA Prototype Challenge, with drivers Marc Drumwright, Tomy Drissi, David Cheng, and Martin Plowman, BAR1 is poised to repeat the dominance displayed at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Seven cars in all will compete for the PC victory at Sebring, including entries from Starworks Motorsport, RSR Racing, Performance Tech Motorsports, PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports and JDC/Miller Motorsports. All cars in the PC class use Continental Tires and Chevrolet engines.

“This will be my third time at Sebring” said Martin Plowman. “I’m hoping that it will be third time lucky, as my previous two visits have been dogged with misfortune! I love the track and the atmosphere surrounding this race. The BAR1 SRA Realty Advisors car was very fast at the test a few weeks ago, so I’m hopeful that form will carry over to the race weekend. We have a strong driver line-up too, so I’m very optimistic for a great weekend”

“It’s great to be back with Bar 1 Motorsports to start the Tudor Series at the 12 Hours of Sebring,” added Marc Drumwright. “We continue to build our experience as a team & on last year races as well as the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona in January. All the drivers having tested at Sebring in preparation for the race. We feel strong and got some good sessions in sorting out the car. I’m definitely looking forward to co-driving again with Martin Plowman, Tomy Drissi & David Cheng. They are all experienced, talented drivers and know what it takes to win. With this lineup, if we stay clean through the end, we should be in position for the desired result.”

“Martin and Marc have it right,” noted team owner, Brian Alder. “We’ve taken advantage of putting our focus on one car and have really done our homework. We’ve tested all the drivers and feel we’ve found a good balance that suits them all. After our performance at Daytona, we’re coming here with a lot of confidence.”

America’s longest-running endurance sports car race continues Saturday, March 21 when the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship takes the green flag for the 63rd annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida (FOX Sports 1, 10:30 a.m. ET.)

Since 1952, world class drivers have gathered at Sebring International Raceway. While the course has changed from its original configuration that included active runways of the Sebring Airport, the 3.74-mile, 17-turn circuit still has unchanged sections of the original course.
