DEFENDING Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour champions Maranello Motorsport are pleased to confirm a new title partnership with McDonald’s Australia.
McDonald’s will sponsor the teams’ Ferrari 458 GT3 for the next three years at the around-the-clock endurance race at Mount Panorama.
The team has released images of the teams’ Ferrari featuring the iconic ‘Golden Arches’ branding ahead of their 12-Hour title defence that commences next week.
The brand will be assured plenty of exposure thanks to comprehensive coverage of the entire race on the Seven Network for the first time.
All 12-hours will be broadcast live, split between 7mate and the primary Seven channel.
“We are very pleased to partner with Maranello Motorsport as they look to go back-to-back in the upcoming Bathurst 12 Hour race,” said a McDonald’s Australia spokesperson.
“The Bathurst 12 Hour is without doubt the premiere event on the Australian racing calendar - it’s great to be a part of the action.”
Mika Salo, Ben Collins and Tony D’Alberto will drive the Maranello Ferrari at the February 6-8 Event, twelve months after the team took a thrilling victory last year.
With a completely rebuilt car and strong driver line-up, team boss Mark Coffey says the team is happy to have new commercial backing to support their quest for a second Bathurst victory.
“We are thrilled to have McDonald’s on board for this year and the future as we try and win back-to-back Bathurst 12-hour races,” he said.
“Maranello Motorsport already represents one of the most iconic brands in the world – Ferrari – and in McDonald’s we’re now representing another.
“The team has worked hard to grow our GT program in recent years and to have McDonald’s on board is testament to that.
“It’s great that they see the value in GT Racing and in particular the value of the Bathurst 12-Hour, especially this year with the entire race live on the Seven Network.
“We will be doing everything we can to deliver them a victory this year and, hopefully, more in the next three years as well.”
