The announcement of Reiter Engineering and KTM developing a new KTM racecar attracted a great deal of attention throughout the racing scene. Now, there are further details available for those prospects that can rely on the racecar that will be built by Reiter Engineering and homolgated from the SRO and the Pirelli World Challenge in the beginning of 2015.

The new rendering from KIKSA, that is already very close to the final design of the newest KTM racecar, shows a spectacular racing vehicle held in the KTM-typical, futuristic design. Beside the looks, the state-of-the-art engineering, that is covered by the entirely newly designed skin, will enthuse. Reiter Engineering owner Hans Reiter explains further technical details: “In the first step, we homologate the new car for the SRO GT4 class and the GT-S category of the Pirelli World Challenge.” The new KTM racecar will generate about 320 HP out of the well-known and well-proven 2.0 TFSI engine, coupled on a sequential six speed transmission made by Holinger – with paddle shift naturally. “Moreover, there’s a race ABS. The car weight will follow existing SRO GT4 standards. In the end we need to wait and see, which weight and performance will be allocated by the SRO and Pirelli World Challenge according to the “Balance of Performance”, says Hans Reiter.

In terms of price, the GT4 racecar exclusively manufactured and available by Reiter Engineering will be located in the spectrum that is given by the SRO. Hans Reiter: “Given that the customer gets the latest motorsport technology and at the same time an impressive safety concept, the price-performance relation is convincing. Additionally, the customers can really rely on this “sports tool”, as the new car is based o the KTM X-BOW, that is well-proven on the race circuits all around the world for 6 years now. The next mile stone for us will be the SRO BOP test in spring.”
