The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe heads towards yet another iconic European F1 circuit. On the challenging German Nürburgring track the series will race its fifth weekend this season on 20/21 September with the last rounds scheduled for November 20/21 in Sepang (MAL) during the World Finals week.

The challenge in the PRO Class is close with the leading Bonaldi Motorsport pair of Serbian Milos Pavlovic and Italian Edoardo Piscopo always on podium to date and with four wins under their belts. The closest chaser is the Dutch Jeroen Mul (Automobili Lamborghini Racing Team Germany), seven points behind and with two wins in Silverstone and a P1 in Le Castellet.

Among the protagonists in Nürburgring are the 2013 European Champion Andrea Amici who will race solo in the Autocarrozzeria Imperiale managed car, his team-mate Alberto Viberti, and Giovanni Venturini (Eurotech Engineering). Racing for GRT Grasser Racing Team, the team that stormed the recent Portimão Blancpain Sprint Series in a Lamborghini Gallardo FL2 GT3, will be the duo Alberto Cerqui/Tomas Pivoda.

The leader in the PRO-AM Class is the 18 year-old Alberto Di Folco (Autocarrozzeria Imperiale). Di Folco’s rival at 14 points behind, the Greek  Aristotelis Varvaroussis, will not be in Germany this weekend and will be replaced by the Argentinian Andres Josephson, who will still share the wheel with Mirko Bortolotti in the Bonaldi Motorsport car. The Italian team will also field the pairing of Sebastian Merchan/Andrea Ceccato. Watch out too for the Austrians Ronald Höling/Sascha Halek (GRT Grasser Racing Team), who already have LBST racing experience from the Paul Ricard weekend.

AM Class leader, Italian Simone Pellegrinelli, has already claimed seven wins out of eight races: this impressive winning streak for the DTM Motorsport driver leaves him just as determined to further increase his lead in the AM Class. The Welshman Jake Rattenbury (third overall), the only driver capable of winning besides Pellegrinelli, will be regularly on track with his co-equipier the Belgian Jan Van Uytsel in the Automobili Lamborghini Racing Team UK Gallardo. Also with the UK team is the Englishman Tim Richards. The Georgian Shota Abkhazava (Automobili Lamborghini Racing Team Luxemburg) is second overall 25 points behind and for sure will be among this weekend’s contenders. The Swiss Davide Durante will be back in the series with Bonaldi Motorsport, while Pier Luigi Sigismondi will once more race in the Charouz Racing Team car.

As in Spa, lady driver Natalia Freidina will join Team Tsarskie Zabavi. Also in the AM Class will be Roberto Tanca, competing solo for the first time having raced to date with Amici. Tanca stays with Autocarrozzeria Imperiale which will be thus involved in all three Classes.

The Nürburgring round will run to a three-day race weekend schedule, starting with two 40’ free practice sessions on Friday followed by Qualifying at 16.05. Race One is set to run on Saturday at 14:50, while  Race Two will be held on Sunday at 9.30 (all times CET). Both races will be shown LIVE in Italy on Class TV (Ch.27/Cable), and live streamed on the Lamborghini Squadra Corse website: http://squadracorse.lamborghini.com/en/live.
