This weekend (August 8-10, 2014) marks the end of the ADAC GT Masters’ summer break: at Slovakia Ring, the venue for the fifth round of the season, ROWE RACING is again running a pair of SLS AMG GT3s. Maro Engel (Monaco) and Jan Seyffarth (Germany) will be racing the gullwing with starting number 23 for the team from Worms in Germany. The sister car with number 22 will be raced by Jaime Alguersuari (Spain) and Nico Bastian (Germany). After six top ten results in the first half of the season, it is ROWE RACING’s clear goal to crown its strong performance with the maiden podium finish as soon as possible.

“As a new team in the ADAC GT Masters, we used the first few races to become established in this challenging category. Now, we really feel at home in the super sports car league, a sound basis for a good start into the second half of the season. Our entire motivation is focussed on achieving on-track success. If possible, we want to start doing so at Slovakia Ring right away. At almost six kilometres, the circuit is relatively long and demanding. Various reconstructions are an additional challenge for all the teams, but we are well prepared, because we were already able to familiarise ourselves with the conditions at the track in a test session,” says ROWE RACING’s team principal, Hans-Peter Naundorf.

Slovakia Ring is the fifth of eight venues to host a round of the 2014 ADAC GT Masters with two races each. Like in every race of the series, a driver change halfway through the 60 minutes’ distance is mandatory for both races.
