“This will be a thrilling premiere for us,” ROWE RACING’s team principal says about the Circuit Park Zandvoort. At the occasion of the ADAC GT Masters from May 9 till 11, 2014, the team from Worms in Germany will be racing at the exceptional circuit on the Dutch coast for the first time. Once again, Maro Engel and Jan Seyffarth will be sharing driving duties in the SLS AMG GT3 with starting number 23.
“At Oschersleben, we got our new ADAC GT Masters project off to a good start. At Zandvoort, we want to build on that. The track may be uncharted territory for ROWE RACING, but it isn’t for our drivers. Maro and Jan are familiar with the particular challenges of the circuit, for instance, the sand that is often blown from the dunes onto the track. As usual, we are well prepared for the races, because one thing is clear: we are not coming to Zandvoort to relax on the beach, but to score points,” Naundorf emphasises.
During the season opener at Oschersleben, ROWE RACING scored a fifth and a 13th place. After the first two of 16 races of the 2014 season, the Engel / Seyffarth pairing is seventh in the drivers’ standings with ten points. The team from Worms is also ranked seventh in the teams’ standings. In the 2014 ADAC GT Masters, 13 teams are competing with 25 super sports cars from eight different brands. Just like at Oschersleben, the Zandvoort event is a double-header affair.
