The Spanish company Maxi Endurance and the Autódromo Intenacional do Algarve have signed a five-year arrangement to celebrate the longest race in motorsport, in its first 32-hour non-stop edition, at the challenging track located in Portimao. The first edition will be held on 12-14 December 2014.

The registration period will be open from the 1st of April and, for the first ten outfits to confirm their participation in the Maxi Endurance 32, shall be 25% less than the standard entry fee. The race is open to multiple vehicles such as GT cars, from different categories, gasoline or diesel touring cars, and FIA CN Prototypes and Radicals performing similarly.

The main reason to sign the agreement was the interest shown by the Portuguese track to host in the Algarve the biggest challenge in endurance competition in recent times. The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve is considered by many drivers as one of the most thrilling racing tracks around the world. Its modern facilities, up and down slopes and different kind of corners will test even the most seasoned drivers and teams and, at the same time, their racing cars. For the enthusiasts of grave challenges, strategy and, in short, endurance races have now a new reference from now on to prove their merits and enjoy endurance competition and a reference track.

As the main objective is to have an affordable race to the greatest possible number of drivers and teams, ensuring the widest possible participation, Maxi Endurance 32 has decided to limit costs as much as possible. In line with that premise the number of tires to be used during the race is limited, in accordance with the supplier and without compromising security, for equaling the budget with 24- hour races. The entry fee, including hotel and catering for eight people and three days, will make a noticeable contribution towards alleviating costs.

For drivers and teams this race Maxi Endurance 32 means to accept a new challenge among other endurance events, as this discipline has barely changed over the past century in relation to race length.

The chosen date at the end of the year, when each and every championship is already finished, and the race length are the result of a survey of over 40 teams always participating in this kind of events. In sum, it is going to be an endurance party at the end of the season.

Each and every team joining Maxi Endurance 32 shall be a pioneer of a historic milestone accepting the challenge of racing in the world ́s longest race, becoming the first participants in this epic challenge called Maxi Endurance 32 in Portimao and they all will deserve to go down in motorsport history.
