Another positive weekend for the Scuderia Bi&Bi took place at the Bugatti track in Le Mans just a few days ago. From 18th to 20th April the #50 Tatuus put on a strong performance, even if the luck didn’t helped the team, which achieved a good 3rd place in the Gentlemen ranking and a 11th position overall. Position which become even more valuable considering the track and the short duration of the race.

On Friday the free practice sessions revealed a very balanced car, capable of encouraging lap times espe- cially with used tires. The balance of the setup made possible for both drivers to cover a lot of mileage on an unknown track both for them and for the team.

Once more qualifying proved difficult with a technical glitch which forced Marco Biffis to stop the car before even setting a clear lap. Hard work from the team and from the support team from Autotecnica made possible for the white-violet Tatuus to regularly take the start the next day.

The qualfiying position forced the team to a recovery, made even more difficult from the slippery track which led to a double intervention from the Safety Car.

In the first two hours Rinaldi got the car up to the 17th place, taking care of all the three mandatory passes in the pitlane and leaving the car to Marco Biffis for the final hour. The last 60 minute revealed decisive as usual with Biffis taking 6 more places thanks to a fast and safe drive and to the strategy which allowed the team to spend a minimum time in the pitlane.

Under the checkered flag the Tatuus Py012 passed in 11th place overall and 3rd in the gentlemen class. With the points collected in France the team is now placed in 8th position overall and 2nd in the gentlemen class on the points standing with more progress expected in the next 6 hour race which will take place at Paul Ri- card from the 30th May to the 1st of June.
