GT Sport announced today the decision to change the format of the Winter Series event scheduled in the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya next 14-15 March. The two races initially scheduled on Saturday afternoon will be replaced by additional testing sessions.

The decision was taken in response to the wish expressed by a number of teams that wanted to have more on-track time rather than races and the possibility to test different drivers. Participants will now have at their disposal four sessions of one hour each both on Friday and Saturday, without the pressure of races.

The new timetable of the event was published today. At the moment, a number of teams including AF Corse, SMP Racing Russian Bears, PRO-GT by Alméras, Kessel Racing and Drivex School have confirmed their presence.
