The two-day testing session in Jerez de la Frontera ran smoothly, despite grey skies, and allowed the teams present to perform the first test of cars and drivers of the year.

At the end of the eight one-hour sessions, the fastest time (set on Saturday) was for the Baporo Motorsport Ferrari F458 of Daniel Zampieri, Roman Mavlanov and Ivan Taranov, which preceded the Pro GT by Alméras Porsche 911R of Frenchmen Perera-Dermont-Lesserre, which topped the rankings on Friday. Third fastest, the Black Bull Swiss Team Ferrari of Camathias-Venturi, while Rui Aguas and Nasrat Muzayyin put the first AF Corse car in fourth.

The test saw the come-back of José Miguel Pérez-Aicart (with Baporo), who starred in the early years of the GT Open, and the debut at AF Corse of Giorgio Roda, the son of former GT Open runner-up Gianluca. Kessel Racing also attended the test, with three Challenge cars.
